千歳⾼校⽣が「北海道イングリッシュ・チャレンジ（HEC）2026」で英語⼒と⾃信を 育む

　本校⽣徒6 名が「北海道イングリッシュ・チャレンジ（HEC）サマーキャンプ」に参加しました！3 ⽉に実施されたHEC 英語コミュニケーションテストで優秀な成績を収めた2 年⽣4名のキャンパーと、3 年⽣2 名のジュニアリーダーが、東神楽町で⾏われた3 ⽇間のオールイングリッシュキャンプに参加しました。チームゲームやクラフト活動、「Capture the Flag」や「Amazing Race」、世界各国の料理、キャンプファイヤー、そして温泉まで、すべての活動を「英語だけ」で楽しみました。
ある⽣徒は、⾃分で捕まえた昆⾍の名前や特徴を英語で紹介し、参加者に昆⾍の魅⼒を伝えていました。また別の⽣徒は、海外ボランティアとの会話を通して⽂化の違いに興味を持ち、「海外の恋愛や⼈間関係は⽇本と違っていて⾯⽩い。もっと話を聞いてみたい！」と話していました。そして何より素晴らしかったのは、温泉でもALT が⾒ていないにもかかわらず、⽣徒たちが⾃然と英語で会話を続けていたことです。ある⽣徒は、「周りは⽇本⼈ばかりなのに、みんな英語で話していて信じられませんでした！」と笑顔で振り返っていました。
英語に積極的に挑戦し、新しい仲間との交流を楽しみながら、⼤きく成⻑した6 名の⽣徒たち。本校を代表する素晴らしい活躍となりました！

   Six Chitose High School students recently participated in the Hokkaido English Challenge (HEC) Summer Camp in Higashi kagura! After earning top scores on the HEC English communication test, four second-year campers and two third-year Junior Leaders spent three unforgettable days using English only while making new friends from across Hokkaido. Students enjoyed team games, arts and crafts, Capture the Flag, "The Amazing Race," international food, campfires, and even the onsen – all while communicating in English. One student proudly taught everyone the English names of the insects she caught, while another became fascinated by learning about cultural differences from volunteers around
the world.The biggest success? Even in the onsen, with no volunteers nearby, our students kept speaking only English! One camper said, "We were in such a Japanese place, but we were all speaking English. I couldn't believe it!" We're so proud of our students for representing Chitose High School with confidence, curiosity, and enthusiasm. Great job, everyone!
